Join local foodie legend, Larry Paz, as he introduces us to the wonderful world of Paella, Spain’s most famous dish.

A quick Google search will give you a hint as to the complexities of this otherwise simple dish and the sources of many an argument over how best to make it!  Everything from proper Paella ingredients and equipment; the type of rice, meat or seafood; the heat it is cooked at; and the importance of sofrito.

Larry will give us an introduction to Paella and where it came from while demonstrating the preparation, the mise en place (French for ‘everything in its place’), and cooking of the Paella.   Special bonus – we get to all enjoy his Paella for lunch!

What to Expect:  There will be a handout, a recipe, and a cooking demonstration.  After, we will sit down and enjoy Paella for lunch.  You will leave with a better understanding of Paella and the cooking of this simple dish.

NOTE:  There is shellfish in the Paella.
