Blue Heron Coffee is back this semester! This time we are talking BREWING. Join us as we talk grind size, flavor extraction, and most importantly, brewing techniques. We will be looking at different methods of brewing, tasting the differences, and finding the nuances that each brewer is uniquely known for.
In this course we will dive a little deeper into coffee by looking at the different ways to brew coffee. Where we tasted 3 different coffees in the previous class, we will taste one coffee but brewed 4 or 5 different ways. We will look at water temp, grind size, and length of time of the brew. At the end, there will be an understanding of brewing techniques and the different subtleties of each process.
What to Expect:
We will take a journey through four or five different ways of brewing coffee. As we go through the process, we will talk about water temp, grind size, and flavor extraction to understand exactly what goes on in the coffee pot while you are waiting for your morning boost.
