Material you never studied in school!  Examine the original documents behind the major events that led to the secession.  

This in-depth exercise in American history is a thorough review of the circumstances, attitudes and events leading to, and culminating in, the secession of the Confederate States in 1860-1861.  This is not a discussion of the Civil War or Slavery, but will be focused on the process of secession and how this came to happen in our young republic.

What to expect: 

Take a deep dive into history will give you the opportunity to increase your knowledge of the environment in which secession occurred and what events led up to it.
