Mahjongg is not only fun to learn, but it’s also good for your brain. Some studies suggest that playing Mahjongg can improve memory and cognitive function as we age – and the improvements are not short-lived. This eight week class will teach you the basics of Mahjongg and give you the confidence to begin playing with your friends.

This is an intensive introduction to the nuances of the game limited to twelve participants at three tables.  Zandi has enlisted the help of Mimi Dickinson and Barb Lane to help provide one-on-one instruction at each table of players.

What to Expect:  At the end of the course, you will understand how to set up a Mahjongg game, read the tiles and understand basic strategy. You will have enough knowledge to begin playing with others. Course charge includes an official Mahjongg game card with official hands and rules.

IN PERSON course at the Easton Family YMCA (no recording) 8 sessions | Thursdays | Sept 14, 21, 28, Oct 5, 12, 19, 26, Nov 2, | 9:30 – 11 am | $70
