Join us for the first of our Local Author series!  Learn about the magic of creating a story, the frustrations of plot development, and the joy of publication… and earning bestseller flags on Amazon and an international audience.

“First, I came to St. Michaels by car, then by boat. Finally, I had the little house in town where I could leave a toothbrush. It was my escape from the crazy world of television, the place where I wanted to write, not scripts. Books.

“Now, more than ten books later, I’ve learned that writing what you know isn’t enough. The key is to write what you love!” –Susan Reiss

Join this local author as she gives you a look behind the magic of creating a story, the challenges of its development, and the joy of seeing it published… of starting in the mystery genre and weaving it with historical fiction with a dash of romance and ghostly souls… of starting in obscurity and earning bestseller flags on Amazon and an international audience.

What to Expect:  Course participants will learn about the excitement of coming up with a story, the conundrums of its development, the sweat and heartache of revision, and the thrill of publishing at last … once one navigates the possibilities.
