By special invitation from Maryland Public Television, join Hunter Harris on a trip over to Baltimore for the Preview Event of “Maryland by Air”
An invitation to a Preview Event! What a treat!
We will be traveling by bus (a full-sized bus for this trip) and of course, as he was involved in the flying part of the production, Hunter will be along to entertain us with stories and details of producing this amazing show that we will be previewing.
We are invited to participate in a reception prior to the showing.
“Maryland by Air” is produced by Paulson Productions and features many scenes of flying over Oxford, St. Michaels, and Tilghman Island – local scenes you may recognize! As the name suggests, will depict aerial photography from wild ponies galloping free on the beaches of Assateague Island at the eastern edge of the land, to the wild, deep dark purple mountains of western Maryland, and on to ancient Calvert Cliffs along the southern Chesapeake shoreline. From Baltimore’s regal Mount Vernon Square to the heartbreaking history of Antietam Battlefield, Gathland’s War Correspondents memorial and the sheer, distant drop of Muddy Creek Falls, the wonder of Maryland’s amazing collection of sites is captured for all to see.
This entire aerial tour of Maryland will be a perspective as if you are a passenger in the Silver Queen. After flying over the entire State of Maryland, the tour ends with a landing at the Easton Airport.
What to Expect:
MPT is so happy to host our contingent from the Eastern Shore that they are providing everyone who comes on this trip with a free 1-yr membership to Maryland Public Television and all the marvelous programming available by being a member.
Aloft Biplane Rides and Tidewater Times will also raffle off a 20 minute biplane ride aboard the “Silver Queen” – a beautiful Boeing Stearman that Hunter offers for aerial tours of the shore. (You can learn more about Aloft Biplane Rides HERE)
We have arranged for a regular sized bus for this trip and will leave the Easton firehouse at 3:15; returning at approximately 8:30pm.
Please note: *Seats for this program are giftable but not refundable unless there is someone on the waitlist who can take your seat.*
