ShoreRivers is a local environmental nonprofit dedicated to safeguarding Eastern Shore waterways through science-based advocacy, restoration, outreach, and education. Throughout the course, specialists from across the organization will share timely insights on topics such as the future of the Chesapeake Bay Agreement, how mariners can adopt river-friendly practices, and the impact of land use in Maryland’s critical areas.
What to Expect:
You’ll explore how the 1983 Chesapeake Bay Agreement is being revised to meet future restoration goals. Learn strategies that help boaters minimize their environmental impact, understand how to identify and report illegal land use practices in protected zones, and discover a range of approaches to improving water quality on the Eastern Shore—along with meaningful ways to get involved.
