Books Wfriends

Books with Friends is an opportunity to share a love of books that impact the way we think. Meet new friends, share thoughts and ideas, and enjoy the company of others! Join discussion leader, Lynn Randle, in a monthly exploration of a favorite book to share among Forum friends.

Begun last Spring, the discussion group has continued through Summer and now moves into Fall.  With the exception of the first two books, books have been selected by participants.  Books discussed so far have included “Horse, a Novel,” “American Dirt,” “The Paris Architect,” “March, a Novel,” and “Remarkable Creatures.”  “American Ramble” is scheduled as the book for September.

Anyone with a love of books and a desire to discuss is welcome.  Register for the program so that you get updates and reminders!

What to expect:

Our first book of the semester will have been already selected by the group, but we will quickly create a listing of books everyone would like to share, select the upcoming titles, and go from there.  Finishing the book is not a requirement, but obviously encouraged.  Lynn sends out background material and discussion questions prior to each session and keeps the conversation lively during our Zoom sessions.  You will meet readers from all over the Delmarva Peninsula, and as far away as Williamsburg.

Feedback from earlier sessions:

“Loved this course. While I didn’t always have time to read the book, I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the discussions and meeting new people.  Thanks Lynn!”

“I felt that the moderator, Lynn Randle, did extensive research on the books that spurred more discussion.  Very enjoyable.”

“Thank you for the engaging conversation.”
