Join Al Pacino backstage and on the streets as he tries to make Richard III work for a modern audience. A cross between history, poetry, and herding cats!

What’s more fun than watching a movie, then discussing it afterwards with a bunch of friends? Suzanne has an insightful, funny documentary for us to share: “Looking for Richard.” Follow director/actor Al Pacino as he explores how to make Shakespeare’s “Richard III” accessible and enjoyable for a modern audience.  You’ll see how filmmakers go from script to screen, how actors create believable characters, and why Shakespeare still packs a punch after 400+ years.

What to Expect:  Find your own way into the pleasures of Shakespeare by seeing how the pros do it. Learn some of the inside process of making a film or play. It’s both more work and more fun than you might expect!

Feedback from past Classes with Suzanne:

“I absolutely loved this class. Suzanne is marvelous. She really helped us understand and enjoy Shakespeare. ********** 10 Stars!”

“Suzanne is always fun, and in this case she “persuaded” me to reconsider my reaction to Henry V’s great speech.  Once I thrilled to it, but in these harrowing days, its call to honor seemed hollow.  But she reeled me back.  Thanks.”

“Suzanne Sanders gave a thoroughly enjoyable presentation that held my interest and gave me an informative and entertaining look at many aspects of Shakespeare.”
