Learn to protect yourself from scammers!

Scammers are getting VERY crafty at finding ways to get your information and your money. This course will review common scam techniques and how to detect them and good practices for avoiding them. While we will primarily discuss scams that come through technology, (email, text, social media, websites) there will also be discussion of protecting yourself from scams from any source. While it is not possible to totally protect oneself entirely, with a few good practices you can create a much more secure environment for yourself. 

This is a three-part class with the last class an optional in-person workshop for anyone wanting help setting up protections on their personal devices. 

What to Expect:  

Take an in-depth look over 3 weeks at the world of scams that we live in today.  Over the course of this program, you will learn to be more aware and alert to scams, and learn simple practices you can follow to make things more secure 

In the final session, bring your device in and get help setting your protections up.
