Create your own vibrant sunflower masterpiece using the swipe technique in this hands-on Acrylic Paint Pouring workshop led by artist Trish Payne. Whether you’re a seasoned painter or a complete beginner, you’ll leave with a stunning piece of art—ready to hang and proudly display!

What to Expect:  

This lively, two-hour class welcomes all skill levels—from curious first-timers to experienced artists. Trish will guide you step-by-step through the paint pouring process, helping you create a unique sunflower design using the swipe technique.

All materials are provided: paints, canvases, gloves, tools, and clean-up supplies.  Optional frames will be available for purchase in the studio.

We recommend wearing a full-body apron or an old shirt to protect your clothing and come ready to experiment, express yourself, and have fun in a supportive, creative environment!

Trish Payne

Trish Payne retired after 28 years in the financial industry, followed by 13 years as Executive Director of the St. Michaels Community Center. She is also a co-founder of Bayside Friends, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) established in 2022 to foster activities, events, and enrichment throughout the Bay Hundred area of Talbot County. Today, Trish channels her energy into The Artisans’ Gallery in St. Michaels—a cooperative that brings together local artists to showcase their talents, build community, and offer an affordable venue for selling their work.
