Ready to give back? In this overview course, learn the practical skills of mentoring that make a difference.  Build the confidence to help others grow and succeed!

We all have years of wisdom and experience to share, whether with members of our own family, or with others we are helping in some special way.

Are you ready to give back? Would you like to experience the rewards of helping others grow and succeed? Mentoring may be for you!  While experience is the best teacher, the skills and qualities that make mentors effective can be cultivated.

In this practical and interactive introductory workshop, Nora will teach us techniques to help become an impactful mentor and have the opportunity to practice them with your peers. We will cover the evolution of mentoring relationships, artful listening, asking great questions, goal setting & refinement, structuring impactful mentoring conversations, plus how to craft and deliver helpful feedback.

Whether you want to help shape the next generation or just have more meaningful conversations with your grandchildren, “Mastering Mentoring” is for you!

What to Expect

In this course, Nora will present an overview of the basic skills of mentoring – artful listening, asking great questions, setting goals, and offering feedback.  Additionally, we will learn how to structure mentoring conversations for purpose and impact and with a little practice, build confidence in our ability to mentor others!  Depending on interest, Nora can come back at a later date with a more complete program.
