Melanie Chapple

Melanie Chapple, Ph.D., earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 2000. She completed an ambulatory care residency with a managed care emphasis at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in 2001. Dr. Chapple continued her career as a staff/clinical pharmacist for 15 years at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (UMD SRH), which extends health care services throughout the Maryland mid-Shore region, including Talbot, Dorchester, Queen Anne’s, Caroline, and Kent counties. In 2016, she assumed her current role as a transitions pharmacist in the Population Health Department at UMD SRH. Over the last five years, Dr Chapple has developed outreach medication consulting programs at the senior centers in the 5-county area that Shore Regional Health serves. In her spare time, Melanie enjoys spending time with her husband, 4 kids, friends, dog Daisy, and collecting hearts!

Kelly Alexander

Kelly Alexander received her degree in Pharmacy from University of Pittsburgh in 1996 and is a patient care pharmacist with over 28 years’ experience in geriatric pharmacy, medication reconciliation, patient education, renal medication dosing, pharmacokinetics, warfarin management and antimicrobial selection. Her diverse employment history includes over a decade of independent pharmacy ownership at Stam Drugs in Chestertown, MD as well as working in hospital pharmacy, performing assisted living pharmacy audits, and home infusion pharmacy. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, and cooking.
