Posey Boicourt’s passion for artistic adventures associated with her personal collection and the creation of her book Blue Tulip is fueled by close family, two degrees in anthropology, another in art, and a continuing focus on sociocultural networks and their influence on the individual artist. A stint as a researcher for the James Michener collection at the University of Texas, then under the directorship of Rusty Powell, the recently retired head of the National Gallery, gave her tools to research paintings and artists. Her own experiments with a wide variety of arts media continue on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and in Maine.
