Margaret L. Andersen is the Edward F. and Elizabeth Goodman Rosenberg Professor Emerita at the University of Delaware. She is the author of several books, including her latest: Getting Smart about Race: An American Conversation. Her books have had a far-reaching impact, including Race in Society: The Enduring American Dilemma, soon to be published in its second edition; Thinking about Women, recently published in its 11th edition; and the best-selling anthology, Race, Class, and Gender, now in its tenth edition. She is also the author of Living Art: The Life of African American Art Collector Paul R. Jones and On Land and On Sea: A Century of Women in the Rosenfeld Collection.
