Karen O’Dowd is a self-taught artist who has been working with found objects and recycled materials for over 20 years. Her work has been shown in galleries throughout the Eastern Shore as well as in Annapolis and Rockville. Several years ago, one of her pieces was chosen for Excellence in Contemporary Art at the Art Academy in Easton. She has taught hundreds of students found-art as a part of the Artist in Residency programs in Columbia Maryland and is passionate about the environment and our prolific destruction of the same – especially with plastics.
