Art History in a Nutshell – the Greatest Hits – is a lively, no pressure, mini course with no tests! Each discussion focuses on one great masterpiece and asks the questions that help us understand how it has shaped history. What is the piece about? How did the original owner look at this piece? Where was it originally placed? Why is it in this museum now? How did it get famous?

Through guided discussion and expert insight, you’ll gain fresh tools for looking at art—learning how to ask insightful questions, recognize artistic choices, and understand why certain pieces have become cultural touchstones.
