Steve Myers began selling alcohol over 50 years ago. First as a distributor’s rep, then as a retailer. After noticing that many of his “better customers” were in ill health with diseases not typically associated with alcohol, Steve began to suspect alcohol was a contributor to these illnesses. After nearly 20 years of searching, he discovered that the National Institute of Health had been studying the effects of alcohol on the body, but did not share their research with the Alcohol Beverage Industry (ABI). In 2009 Steve founded Responsible Alcohol Marketing (RAM), an alcohol education company and authored a handbook titled “The ABC’s of Alcohol and Nutrition.” Steve is now semi-retired and works at Easton Liquors as the Wine Buyer.
