We welcome everyone who wishes to learn, listen and discuss a myriad of diverse topics with an open mind and a respectful curiosity for the views of others. Join us to expand your horizons and ignite your passion for lifelong learning.

Our Vision
To make lifelong learning an integral part of Maryland's Eastern Shore culture.

Our Mission
Chesapeake Forum, an Academy for Lifelong Learning, provides affordable courses and discussions on a wide variety of topics for people of all ages and backgrounds where ideas are shared with civility and mutual respect.

Our Curriculum
With a continuously changing curriculum, Chesapeake Forum offers sessions on current events, science, literature, history, art, music, and writing along with outdoor courses on birding, ecology, and much more. There are also field trips to interesting locations!
A NOTE FROM THE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S DESK:
New to Chesapeake Forum?
Many of our courses are HYBRID, meaning that you have the convenience of choosing to participate IN PERSON (always the best solution!) at the Easton Family YMCA, by Zoom, or by waiting for the YouTube recording that generally comes out within 48 hrs of each recorded session.
When you register for a Chesapeake Forum course, you will immediately get a receipt. (You are automatically added to the course attendence roster provided to the course leader, so no worry about tickets.) We send you a reminder two days before the start of your course, and the morning of each course session. When applicable, the reminders will have the Zoom link included as well as links to course handouts.
Our Course Library has recordings of Chesapeake Forum courses available FREE OF CHARGE to anyone wishing to learn
Click below to go to the COURSE LIBRARY and explore! When you find a course you might like to see, simply click, go to the course page, and access the Youtube recording(s) and any handouts that are available, listed directly at the bottom of the course page. NO REGISTRATION NEEDED!
Help Support Our Mission and Vision
Your contribution allows Chesapeake Forum to continue connecting Eastern Shore community members by offering affordable courses, discussions, presentations, field trips, and events that encompass diverse topics.
Chesapeake Forum is a part of the YMCA of the Chesapeake, a public 501(c)(3) charity. Contributions to Chesapeake Forum support the lifelong learning program and are fully tax-deductible as allowable by law.
